The auto-panel forming process has been recognition with the rapidly development of automotive industry. The rigidity and surface smooth finish are required. The tribology between the blank and die is an important factor about the product quality which will be improved in good lubrication condition. Drawing-an typical auto-panel forming process was be researched in this paper with the FEM technology and thin film lubrication theory.The simulation of drawing process has been done in ETA/Dynaform. The simulation factor is close to the true factor and the result has been analyzed to research the reflection of the punch speed, blank hold force, character of the lubrication oil to the blank forming speed. The reflections to the stress and has also been researched.The equation used in the drawing process is founded by using the thin film lubrication theory. The Rynolds equation and Energy equation are derived. The numerical compute method is researched.The drawing process of a typical auto-panel part is analyzed with FEM and thin film lubrication theory. The film's thickness in the part of flange, fillets, vertical wall are calculated. The logical rang of the punch speed and the viscosity of the lubrication oil is given.
