Through the analysis of technology on downhole supercharging at home and abroad, wefind that complicated hydraulic conversion mechanisms and flow channels are included inmost of downhole supercharges. The development of ultra-high pressure jet drilling isrestricted in consideration of the problems of short life, poor reliability and difficultprocessing of the present down-hole supercharges that are worked under the limited workingspace and poor working conditions. For the successful application of ultra-high pressure jetdrilling technology, the new downhole supercharges with strong adaptabi lity must bedeveloped.A new swashplate type supercharge, to meet to the increasing development of ultra-highpressure jet drilling technology is designed in the paper. Screw drill is the dynamic source ofthe supercharge which is designed at the base of the existing relatively mature technology ofscrew drill. The supercharging installation is driven by mechanical energy converted fromwater energy through screw drill. So increasing of pressure of drill fluid is received.The structure and operating performance of screw drill, which is the source of power, aredetailedly expatiated in the paper. The real operating performance and feasibility of structureimprovement about screw drill are studied in the article. The research is about several parts:the structural design and completing the parts and assembly drawings of swashplate typesupercharge; determin the key parameters of the device; strength check on the important partsof swashplate type supercharge; 3D graphics of parts and overall structure are mad e by usingPro/ ENGINEER software. The structural analysis and motion emulation of the swashplatetype supercharge are achieved at the base.The design of swashplate type supercharge will have an important guiding significanceto the development of ultra-high pressure jet technology in the future .
