With the improvement and renovation of the spinning technology, rotor spinning has an important role in the spinning field with its unique advantages. In European and American countries, they have advanced technology of rotor spinning. However, in China we fall a little behind in this field. But it also predicts that the potential in the development of rotor spinning in China is very tremendous under the trend of the rapid development of rotor spinning .For further expanding the application areas of rotor spinning and develop new products, the research and development of rotor fancy yarn has become one of the development direction of rotor spinning.An systematic research on the technics of the rotor slub yarn has been conducted in the present work. The contents involved are as follows.1. Based on the better understanding of collecting and doubling mechanism of rotor spinning, the rotor slub shape is deeply analyzed by changing the feed roller speed three times. The two situation of the distribution of density in thickness of slub yarn are obtained. The slub shape is the simple combination of ordinary rotor slub yarn in one situation. The slub shape is the same as that by changing the feed roller speed two times in one slub circle. The slub shape is very complex in the other situation. The distribution of density in thickness of slub yarn is studied.2. A systematic theoretic model is established by analyzing the motion and dynamics of the yarn on the false-twist volume, free yarn segment, the yarn on the condensing groove. It lay a theoretical foundation on systematic research on the tension distribution and twist distribution of the yarn in the three areas.3. The rule of the tension and twist distribution of the yarn in the three areas is systematically researched by numerically calculate the systematic theoretic model with Runge-Kutta method. The influence and its extent of technical parameter, such as linear density, yarn-leading bore radius, rotor speed, false-twist volume radius, rotor radius, on the tension and twist distribution is obtained by comparison.4. The peripheral Twist Extend(P.T.E) length is numerically calculated. The impact factors which are favor of increasing the P.T.E length by comparison.After the work mentioned above, the following results are obtained. 1. The slub is the simple combination of ordinary rotor slub yarn in the situation in which the feed roller speed is changed two times in one slub circle.At the same time, the slub shape has no change. Whereas the slub shape is very complex in the other situation in which the feed roller speed is changed three times in one slub circle. That is one slub surperpose another slub. It has instructional significance in further expanding the application areas of rotor spinning and developing new products.2. The stability of producing rotor slub yarn in rotor spinning is studied by research of the tension and twist distribution of the yarn. The three most impact factors are obtained. They are linear density, rotor radius, rotor speed. It has instructional significance in the improvement of the tension and twist of the yam in spinning process, therefore in the improvement of the stability of spinning.3. The peripheral Twist Extend(P.T.E) length is numerically calculated. The two most impact factors are obtained by comparison. They are rotor radius, rotor speed. It offers an theoretical support in the success production of producing slub yarn in rotor spinning.
