With the development of the oil and gas field production and development technology, much importance has been attached to the reservoir numerical simulation by many experts. And the simulation work is always developing in a more precise, professional, automatic and convenient way. The improvement of the pre and post processing modules become many experts'research focus. How to make the models more reliable, the results more credible, the operation and the analysis more efficiency becomes the important content of restricting the development of the numerical simulation work. So it has very important significance on doing the research on the reservoir numerical simulation's pre and post processing modules.This paper begins with the research of the grid generation in reservoir numerical simulation, the corner point grids is mainly studied. A method of generating a corner point grids which can adapt to the complex boundary of the oil reservoir is proposed. Also the treatment of the grids'orthogonality and smoothness is made, which inhibits the non-convergence and the generation of the truncation error radically. The output format of the corner point grid makes convenience for the input of the numerical simulation models, simplified the pre processing procedure. Then a systemic analysis and summary on the parameterization of the grids is made. Here lays a strong emphasis on the introduction of a few Kriging methods and summarizes their applicable conditions. The modules facilitated the fitting of the experimental variogram, simplified the interpolating procedure. Subsequently, this paper describes the upscaling technique preliminarily. The basic principle and the front technology of the upscaling are briefed here. Finally, the post processing technology is discussed and the corresponding software is programmed. The software reduced the numerical simulation working intensity and facilitated the analysis of the practical data.According to practical application and the contrast with the conventional softwares, shows the accuracy, reasonableness and practicality of this pre and post processing modules. This has a certain theoretical and practical significant for the application and development of the reservoir numerical simulation work in future.
