The Evaluation Of Mandatory Current Cathodic Protection Operation And Studies Of Maintenance Technique

Many devices which were applied in Daqing oilfield, such as: containers, pipes and so on, had more serious corrosion ,but the buried pipelines of the normal operation of cathodic protection ,of which the proportion of corrosion was only 2.49 percent, the role of cathodic protection retarding corrosion was obvious. But the preliminary findings of cathodic protection in Daqing oilfield showed that: the operating rate of some cathodic protection system was only 60 percent to 70 percent, which did not meet protective effect of design standards, failed to give full play to the cathodic protection retarding corrosion. In view of this problem, the application investigation of cathodic protection system and the analysis of system failures were proceeded in this paper, the technical research of operation evaluation of the typical cathodic protection system and cathodic protection system maintenance and management were also proceeded. The results showed that: the operation evaluation test of typical cathodic protection system in Daqing oilfield, the method of which could meet the needs of technical management of cathodic protection , the protection of the test blocks could attain 82.9 percent; the criterion of cathodic protection system failure / defects was summed up ,and had practical value, after introduction, the service life of building systems could be extended through reasonable maintenance ,the investment of reconstruction was saved, the rate of corrosion protection was reduced ,and the evaluation of the cathodic protection operation and regulations of maintenance technique (draft ) were compiled, which were fit for oil production and management. The evaluation of the cathodic protection operation and regulations of maintenance technique which were unified, highly workable and fit for normal production and management, the cathodic protection system operation technical management of oilfield were standardized, the normal operation of the existing cathodic protection system were promoted, the building of cathodic protection system was guided, the cathodic protection retarding corrosion was played fully, security risks were reduced, the investment of reconstruction were saved, all of which were of great significance.
