Wet grinding machine is new equipment in pellet techniques. It works in half-wet or half-dry state. Via the wet grinding process it enhances granularity and stack density of material and provides material for next pellet making procedure. In pellet techniques, wet grinding machine is adopted on grinding magnetite concentrate. It reduces addition of bentonite largely and enhances the strength of green or ripe pellets. Accordingly, it improves use coefficient of equipment in next working procedure and reduces cost in pudding.Power calculation is a difficult problem which has puzzled designers at all times. Because power calculation is not precise, power of equipment is bigger than requirement, causing great waste. In finite element analysis process for barrel of wet grinding machine, load method is different from the force on barrel of wet grinding machine when it works. Therefore, to study a new load method that accords with working state of wet grinding machine is necessary.Digital design method is applied in wet grinding machine design and manufacture process to found digital product model and the technology which include interference check-up, digital simulation and engineering analysis is used to improve design plan and enhance product exploitation efficiency and product performance.The movement of medium in barrel is analyzed, and the useful power of wet grinding machine is calculated. Matlab software is used to analyze the equation of power and the relation between useful power, working rotate speed and filling ratio is gained, the optimal rotate speed of wet grinding machine is confirmed. Working parameter of wet grinding machine is analyzed. Based on working parameter calculation, force on barrel is analyzed particularly and the equation of load which changes with location is put forward. Digital model ofΦ3 .2m×5.3m wet grinding machine is established, the movement of wet grinding machine is simulated, assembled virtually, made interference check-up by using of Pro/ENGINEER software. Finite element analyzing method is adopted and a universal finite element analyzing software-ANSYS is used to analyze the barrel of wet grinding machine. The equation of force analysis is adopted, function load on barrel of wet grinding machine is applied, the stress on barrel of wet grinding machine is analyzed when it rests, starts up and works, and design gist is provided for designers. Digital design method and simulation technology is applied on design and exploitation of wet grinding machine to improve the design plan, shorten the cycle of product exploitation, save exploitation cost and enhance competitive competence of corporation in market economy.
