This subject is about the transformation project of Front axle continuous heat treatment furnace in the Guangyue steering knuckle plant in Shandong Province. The main problems before the transformation of Front axle continuous heat treatment furnace are: that the design of furnace body is unreasonable, that the link chain track does not suitable to the heat treatment section, which is slow in heating furnace, that it has large temperature difference between cross-section, that it is long heat time of steering knuckle blank which not only has serious affection for the quality of steering knuckle blank treatment but also waste energy. Combined the actual conditions of Front axle continuous heat treatment furnace and the requirements of transformation, This paper determines the transformation and furnace temperature control method of the furnace body. Before the establishment of transformation in the furnace system, first of all, the heat treatment power of the heat treatment furnace is calculated to get the power of improved furnace. It is the foundation for the reformation of the furnace body in theory. After calculating, the structure size of the furnace can be obtained, the furnace track can be also designed which will be transformed from chainer to pusher. After the analysis and determination of the system control parameters, we establish the production process of Front axle continuous heat treatment furnace and temperature PLC control system, and complete the system configuration and ladder design. At the same time, the paper also further optimized the control system program, and carry out fuzzy PID control design for the system.Since the computer process control system of New Pusher continuous heat treatment furnace has been put into operation, the heat economic analysis, the stability, uniformity of the furnace temperature and the control precision analysis have showed that all the running indicators of the furnace are able to satisfy the technological requirements. Furnace runs in good condition. At the same time, the control system is so simple that scene technicians could easy to operate and control. The successful apply for the computer process control system of Maebashi continuous heat treatment furnace has provided valuable experience for other heat treatment furnace transformation of the plant.
