There are rich resources of Sandy-shrub in inner Mongolia, they are good species of radix saposhnikoviae and sand fixation, and good quality materials of artificial-board and biomass electricity generation, but the quality of sandy-shrub chipping is a barrier which always conteract the further development of enterprise. To be aimed at wood quality, cutting power, vibration and noise, combine the characteristics of Sandy-shrub, in this paper we studied the Test Chipper of Sandy-shrub. We want to find optimal cutting parameters through the test method, and provide theoretical basis for design and manufacture of Chipper of Sandy-shrub.To be aimed at Test Chipper of Sandy-shrub in this paper ,the major findings of the study are as follows.1. The cutting part use drum chipper machine for milling, the feed part use compacting roller with floating feed compulsory. The feed part and the cutting part use separation-style docking. The separation of them creating the conditions for the different feed and cutting parts in the further study.2. The feed part has two adjustments, they are horizontal and vertical adjustments. The base blade installed in the feed body, the two adjustments can change the relative position of base blade to flying-cutter,it can change the cutting angle. To analyze wood quality and cutting power during the change of cutting angle from 40°to 100°,we can choose the best cutting angle by comparing them.3. The cutting speed and feed speed Can be adjusted. The chipping length change from 20mm to 30mm, the cutting speed change from 15 m /s to 30 m /s , the feed speed change from 23m/min to 40m/min of Sandy-shrub artificial-board. During the orthogonal change we analyzed wood quality and cutting power, and then choose the best speed. We can use the electromagnetic adjustable speed motor to adjust the speed.4. At the end of the feed body base blade is equipped with piezoelectric dynamometer. Though test the reacting force of base blade to calculate the cutting power in different circumstances. Test signal through the charge amplifier, A / D data acquisition card into the computer, through professional software can show cutting power.
