A Study On The Impact Of RMB Exchange Rate Changes On China's Wood Pulp Import And Export Trade

The exchange rate of the RMB has appreciated since government introduced a new exchange rate system in July 2005,and this trend will continue.However,the changes of exchange rate will have a significant impact on a country's import and export trade.China is one of the most important country about production,consumption and importing in paper industry,which has a growing demand in wood pulp that is the main raw material of paper,import and export market of wood pulp is very active. Therefore,changes in the RMB exchange rate will be bound to impact on China's wood pulp import and export trade to a certain extent.This paper has introduced the processes of the evolution and current status of China's exchange rate system,and then speculated the trend of the RMB exchange rate changes.On this basis,with the combination of China's status quo on wood pulp import and export trade,it has a descriptive analysis on the relationship between them,then come to a conclusion that the degree of the exchange rate of RMB affected the import and export of wood pulp every year in the past.In addition,through the relevant theoretical and combined with data,it analysis the impact of exchange rate to the import and export of wood pulp,based on this,establish hypothesis,and construct models,from the perspective of econometrics analysis on the issue.Based on the above study,this paper makes recommendations respectively from the exchange rate system,wood pulp exports and imports.
