The local ventilator is one of the key equipments in mining workspace under coal well, because its performance directly affects consequence of the gas drainage and security production. Along with the rapid development of power electronics technology and the growing importance of energy saving. The local ventilator is developing to energy-saving, efficient and low-noise-oriented. The problem for control of the mine local ventilator is discussed in this thesis. In order to meet the technical requirement of the'Gas Intelligent Drainage System', the environment under coal well and AC motors robustness, a novel speed sensor-less vector control system of mine local ventilator is proposed in this paper.First of all, the model of speed regulation and vector control idea are introduced. The math model, coordinate vector change and asynchronous machine controllability and observant are discussed. The vector control methods for induction motor are compared, in order to analyse the rotor field -orientation principle and the induction motor vector control methods based on rotor field-oriented. Model reference adaptive system and Popov hyper-stability theory are also investigated in this paper.Secondly, two problems of the speed estimation and rotor flux observation which must be solved in the system are discussed in the paper. The rotor flux current model flux observation may avoid errors and drift problem. The speed estimation methods is studied using the theory of model reference adaptive system which has high precision and little error, its response is fastly. Finally, the simulation model of the speed sensor-less vector control system based on MRAS is set up. At the same time, the system hardware and software are designed. The simulation experiments using MATLAB/SIMULINK show that the vector control system based on the model reference adaptive system has good static and dynamic performance.
