Roll straightener is the plate straightener which is the most widely used. Its basical theory is no matter how much big the difference among the original curvatures is, the distinction of metal material which under a large elastoplastic bending condition among the residual curvatures will be significantly reduced after spring-back,or even in line. The purpose of straightening is achieved.Straightener is the key equipment which improves the product quality and the precision. This article takes the 7-roll straightener of straightening line in a hot-rolled plant as the object of study and theoretically computes the rolling schedules of the upper 3 rollers with big distortion strightening plan to the plate with thickness is 12.4mm and yield strength is 645MPa. A finite element analysis was used to simulate the process of plate straightening with different rolling schedules between actual value and theoretically computed value. The effect of different rolling schedules to the straightening effection and distribution of residual stresses after strightened was quantificational researched. And we discovered the main reason why the quality of plate cann't reach the requirement. The existing rolling schedules was optimized after the contrast between the analysised resultes and the two different rolling schedules. A rolling schedule which makes the plate after straightening with small residual stresses and smooth shape was found. And it has been applied to the production. The method this article used has certain reference value to determine the rolling schedules of the same kind of straightener.
