The rapid respond to marketplace and the consumer order form are objective requirement of market competition to modern clothing enterprises. The time of clothing to market becomes the first key element of the competition affecting enterprise. Costume design phase determines the garment production and market cycles, and it also influences the garment cost decisively. The major purpose of garment rapid response design is to shorten the clothing design construction cycle, improves the enterprise response ability to the marketplace.The rapid response design take standardization, serialization and modular as means, take information technology as the supports, seeks the cross enterprise and profession, the trans-regional and transnational product resources, to realize the products design and manufacture quickly. The garment rapid response design contains the information collection, the resources conformity, the design implementation and the design result analysis. Design implementation is the core of the rapid response design, the collection of information, the resources conformity are actually the current question to be solved.Since continuously, because the lacks of the information exchanging, the clothing database can't be used directly to design. It is also make the project work efficiency not high, the clothing to lack the market.This paper analyzed the garment design resource databases and the progress to putting clothing into practice. This paper has pointed out that the garment rapid response design is different to general industrial product design. A organization model of garment rapid response design has been given in this paper.
