Research On Development Of Clean Development Mechanism In Low-Carbon Economy

Mitigation of global climate change has become the consensus of governments around the world, but the yawning gap between still exists between developed and developing countries, in the view of cooperation of slowing down climate warming trends. This paper describes current international low-carbon economy, development of Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) under the framework of "Kyoto Protocol". Through empirical analysis of CDM projects and in-depth analysis of the nature of CDM feature, function, and deficiencies and risks, the paper shows a clear profile of CDM projects, and some ways to take advantage of this historic opportunity to achieve sustainable development of China.
