Wood industry in China is the foundation of the national economy, and occupies an extremely important status in the development of national economy. However, the situations that our forest resources are relative scarcity and products quality is not high make the contradiction between supply and demand of wood increasingly prominent. Multi-plywood is a high-quality timber with high intensity and steady performance which can be made by low grade wood. So testing the elasticity is a very important way to impove the quality of multi-plywood and utilization ratio of timber.As a starting point, and based on the analysis of status quo about the non-destructive on-line testing techniques home and abroad, this paper comprehensive using many high technology like nondestructive testing technology for impact stress wave, dynamic weighting technology for timber and on-line testing technology for thickness, and also the knowledge of domestic and overseas mature testing theories are taken into consideration.The following are achievements which have receiced through the research:(1) Expatiate the significance of multi-layer plywood elastic modulus detection. Summarize the current domestic mainstream survey method and its advantages and disadvantages. (2) Formulate a new control design for multi-plywood elastic modulus detection system. And then combined with advanced testing techniques, proving it is feasibility by theory. (3) Applied the idea of combine PLC and touch screen to multi-plywood elastic modulus detection system for the first time. Finally make a system that have many advantages as have friendly interface, simple and practical, stable and efficient, so that can increase the efficiency of the system and easily for use and promote.
