| For designing different types of center adorning covers and their injection moulds, designers should modify the original moulds several times for getting the best design. This job is so complex that it costs designers amounts of time and energy. The system in this thesis is developed for helping designers to predigest the devising process and release them from the complex design work.This system is developed by combined the Pro/ENGINEER secondary develop software Pro/TOOLKIT and VC++6.0, which consists of center adorning cover and mould cavity dimension design module, mould-base dimension design module, automatically generating engineering drawing module and automatically assembling and mould evaluation module.Center adorning cover, mould cavity and mould-base dimension design modules are developed by using the parameter drive function of Pro/TOOLKIT. Using these modules, users can input the part dimension in the interface developed by VC and regenerate the model to get a new 3D part model.The function of the automatically generating engineering drawing module is generating 2D engineering drawing according with national standard or enterprise standard based on the modified 3D part model of moulds.For the different types of center adorning cover moulds, when designing a new type, engineers must assemble part drawings to assembling drawings to observe the whole condition. That costs them too much time and energy. Automatically assembling module can save the assembly time of engineers by generating assembling drawings from 3D part drawings fast and correctly.After all the mould parts were designed and assembled, mould evaluation module can help engineers fleetly evaluate mould cost according to design conditions to make them acquaint themselves with mould cost in order to design the moulds better.The functions above of this system are the type representation of Pro/TOOLKIT secondary development technology. Nowadays, there are few applications of CAD software secondary development technique in practical production. The development of this system combines theory and practice and make a contribution to the career of CAD software secondary development of our country. |
