With the increases of the piping transportation of the crude oil and various of product oil increasingly, it is of great significance for use of drag reduction agent that reduce energy consumption and equipment investments, and accelerate exploitation and utilization of crude oil by reducing the frictional resistance of transport pipes to raise transport quantity.Since 2002 , our developing team has already accomplished the synthesize of lots of samples which have the good drag reduction effect by five kinds of methods: solution polymerization, solution copolymerization, bulk polymerization, bulk copolymerization and bulk prepolymerization. At last, we have synthesized 1-Dodecene by bulk polymerization in the pilot plant. There is a great deal of samples in our laboratory which were synthesized in the last years. According to this condition, this dissertation involves the research of following both aspects, because it is difficult to remove the solvent from the samples which are synthesized by solution polymerization and to identify structural units of the samples which are synthesized by copolymerization, and the effect of reproducibility of the pilot plant is better than of laboratory scale. Firstly, the viscosity-average molecular weight of six Poly-1-Dodecene drag reducer samples in pilot plant is determined. Secondly, the one sample among those is fractionated five fractions by the column fractionation and the viscosity-average molecular weight of every fraction is determined. At last, the relation between viscosity-average molecular weight and drag reduction performance is researched in two items. The results demonstrate that efficiency of these drag reducer samples will increase with the increase of viscosity-average molecular weight within a certain range, and we finds that the fraction which has high mass percentage determined the efficiency of drag reduction of the sample which is not fractionated. This phenomena result from the improvement of drag reduction performance with the concentration of available constituent. The conclusions are helpful to adjust synthesis processing parameters.
