WEDM CNC System Design And Implementation

EDM technology through half a century of development has become a high-precision and high-degree of freedom processing method.It is mainly used in the field which can not be processed by conventional machining.EDM technology is a process method which direct processing by electricity and heat.Now it has been widely used in mechanical, aerospace, aviation, electronics, electrical, instrumentation, automotive, light industry and other industries.EDM is not only an effective means of mechanical processing method,but also has become irreplaceable processing methods in some cases.The control system of WEDM is composed of hadrware and software.The part of hardware refers to CPU and CPU interface circuit,motor driving circuit,voltage-frequency transform circuit,pulse power and so on.The part of software refers to processing code generation and compilation, communication, human-machine operation and display, interpolation and system management procedures and so on.In this paper the development of WEDM is discussed.Combined with the current shortage of wire cutting system of some enterprise, the control system of WEDM has been made improved.First,CPU has been updated;Second,WEDM control system is added file storage system, graphic LCD display and rich keyboard.It also has a communication interface,which makes microcontroller connected with the PC.So it's easy to download and online debugging program.To WEDM control system can run independently from the host PC,it needs to store a certain amount of processing programs,so this paper analyzes the various storage methods,and designs two tree directory organization of file system. The file system can not only store and delete files convenient,but also have the high space utilization.The system increases the LCD, and realizes the Secondary menu by programming.So it achieves a variety of functions,such as simulation, processing, file and manual functions, and easy to operate. Through simulation and real display processing track, the system enriches the interface function between machine and human, and convenient operators to understand the current state of processing.
