Based on the collection of relevant information and data, the risk of LPG tank system, the causes of leakage, and the accident types and impact are analysed in this paper. The process of LPG tank leakage risk assessment is proposed; based on the analyzing and comparing of various risk assessment methods and the consequences of the accident simulation models, we have choosen the assessment methods and simulation models targeting LPG tank system, and improved some of the methods and calculation models. So then a methodology system of LPG tank leakage risk assessment is established. And it is verified by being used in the project. It proves that the methodology system of LPG tank leakage risk assessment established in this paper is reasonable and feasible, with application value in projects. It can be used to improve the risk prediction ability of LPG tank leakage accident in projects, and provide a foundation to safety management and safety decision-making. So then to reduce accidents as much as possible, and reduce casualties and property losses by the greatest extent.
