Research On Top Prototype Of 0-1 Year-old Baby's Wear

In the fashion industry, baby is the minority group in the society that its clothes are hard to meet their satisfaction. In our domestic market, the elements like design, structure, and quality of the baby clothes is not very well developed.The size designation of clothes is very complicated. The recent 1335.3-1997 has added the baby size designation, which is the only standard in use. The disadvantage of that is it doesn't cover all the babies' size. So one of the purposes of this paper is to define the standard size through all the data I've got. Then use the evaluation of non-parameter core-density method to design my own baby's size.To baby's clothes, there is no specific prototype for baby whose age is within one year old. All the prototype about child now exit are about the children whose age is between 1～12 (13) years old. The typical child's prototypes are Japan Culture Style and Denglimei Style. These two prototypes both belong to ladder style. The differences of these two lie in the depth of Bust line, Neck Line, and other parts. However, to baby whose age is within one year old, for their rapid growth and the dynamic feature, they need a specific prototype to their own.This paper emphasizes on the measuring of baby's body to get the necessary sizes. According to their data, baby's body features are analysed and further more, to get a proper and comprehensive baby's prototype. Based on this prototype, and accord with other elements of designing, two suits of clothes are made.The following demonstrates the main idea and work of this paper:①Observe baby's body structure and its behavior from book as well as daily life. Prepare for the measurement.②Measure 102 babies aging from 1～12 months.27 parts are measured with each baby.③With the help of the statistical methods like SPSS and EXCEL to analyze the data, get to my own conclusion on the baby's size system.④Analyze the detailed parts of the prototype. Use geometrical knowledge to get the proper baby's prototype.⑤On the basis of the prototype, combine all the other elements from clothing material, color, pattern to design two baby's wear.This paper combines the measurement and theoretical research together, establishes the mathematical model in the detailed part of the prototype so as to reach a proper and comprehensive baby's protoype, is of innovation and importance to the practical use.
