Scraper conveyor is the only transport equipment in currently what is used in the long wall working face. Scraper conveyor,which is used in high production and efficiency fully mechanized working face, is key equipment which has the worst work conditions and the most complex load conditions. It is related directly to the mine production. Domestic scraper conveyor has achieved the seration and has obtained better economic benefits, from the 1960s, after many years researches. However, there also are a few problems such as the key component technical level and the international advanced level, the lack of a gap between the design of the system theory and advanced design means, manufacturing technology development lags behind, etc.. The reliability of scraper conveyor is the effect of one of the main factors of coal production, so the urgent requirement of scraper conveyor reliability to analyze, to increase its use of its reliability and evaluate reliability life.This paper focuses on the whole system of scraper conveyor reliability analysis and reliability lifespan evaluation. First, it introduce reliability and lifespan evaluation's knowledge. Secondly, using the theory of reliability design, the paper make scraper conveyor's structure analysis and construct the machine and the main components of the structure diagram and reliability block diagram. Then, the paper construct mathematical model of scraper conveyor based on the structure diagram and reliability block diagram. Mathematical model is the basis of the mathematical analysis, which as reliability life evaluation and reliability analysis service. Then based on the data collected make use of MATLAB, which is sorting and analyzing mathematical tools, to calculation MTBF and MTTR,of scraper conveyor reliability characteristic computation.Finally, the paper make scraper conveyor key components qualitative analysis and quantitative calculation using the fault tree analysis.The paper mainly aimed at the chute and scraper chain for the fault tree analysis, to find affect the service lifespan of scraper conveyor main reason. In the analysis of the factors that affect the reliability to found improve measures of scraper conveyor and the measures for the use of equipment management and scrap reference, to improve enterprise's economic benefit and social benefit.
