In this paper, LTP(low temperature plasma)and cationic reactant were used to treat cotton fabric. The effects of three different kinds of pretreatment in pigment dyeing were studied. The factors in pretreatment were discussed with SEM and Langmuir probe. The process conditions for the effects of pigment dyeing were researched and optimized by measuring K/S value and color fastness. The result of study showed that the effects of pigment dyeing were improved remarkably after treating by cationic reactant and LTP. When the dosage of FK-316 was 5%o.w.f., after modifying at 75℃for 30min, the K/S value was larger. Meanwhile,?the soaping fastness and dry rubbing fastness were in 5 level, light fastness in 8 lecel, the wet rubbing fastness and washing fastness met the requirements of wearing. After treating in oxygen glow discharge plasma at 300W for 7min under 30Pa, the best pigment dyeing results were achieved. The K/S value was less than that of cationic modification, and the color fastness were similar. In DBD plasma processing, the dyeing results were related to process mode, gaseous medium, power and time. After processing in air at 3000W on double sides, and speed at 0.5m/min, the K/S value was approach to that of cationic modification, and the color fastness were approximately equal. Imperon K pigments were selected as default because of good dyeing properties compared to ordinary ones. When the binder PU was at 20g/L, after baking at 120℃for 3min, the color fastness and hand feeling were preferable.
