| The remote monitoring on tailing geological disasters and fundamental study of equipments which belongs to the project of "Remote monitoring on tailing disasters and early warning" in the technical plan of science and technology department in Hunan province was set as the background in this thesis. The characteristics of the tailings dam and hazardous factors leading to various accidents were investigated and analyzed as well as establishing tailings remote monitoring system and obtaining the order of various monitoring index weight based upon analytic hierarchy process. The equipments in the monitoring system were selected for analysis, and a specific remote monitoring system was established based on a certain tailing dam example.The thesis mainly contains the following aspects:(1)The current safety situation and progress were interpreted in the field of tailing dam in China and around the world. Also, the main safety issues existing in the tailing dam and engineering characteristics in China were analyzed, the hazardous factors that lead to the tailing accidents and geological disasters were identified and the mechanism of tailing disasters were elaborated.(2)Through identifying the dangerous sources and analyzing the influencing factors, the monitoring index of tailing dam were ascertained. Hierarchy analysis process was adopted to establish the index of tailing remote monitoring system. According to the statistical analysis on the tailing accidents, monitoring index weight was calculated based upon the possibility for each monitoring index causing accidents and fuzzy mathematic analytic hierarchy process.(3)According to the displacement monitoring, saturation line monitoring, water level and dry beach length, monitoring instruments, data collector, signal transmission method, data processing and selecting analysis for the order. Then, one of the actual projects was set up a complete tailings remote monitoring system.
