With the development of human society, and the accelerating of industrialization and modernization's process, the pollution of the atmosphere is getting more serious. Dust pollution's proportion is also increasing year by year in the air pollution, dust pollution is not only seriously harm to human health, but also make the result of the loss of a large number of precious materials. ESP as one of the most effective means of controlling air pollution of its research and applications become more widespread. How to effectively control the implementation of ESP has become an important research project.This thesis make coal ESP as the model, PLC automatic control technology and MCGS configuration software used as a combination of electrostatic precipitator control system designs, the use of PLC to complete field data collection and processing, the PC configuration with MCGS monitoring interface software development, and the use of MCGS to monitore coal dust electrostatic precipitator the situation real-time, what greatly improved the electrostatic precipitator control system's functionality and operability.This paper first developed a PLC control system for the total program, external wiring diagram and Total Control Ladder Diagram, Study the control of the vibration process, timing of the electric field, the fire alarm, dischargingdevice and PID of the concentration of six major studies through PLC to determine the detailed ESP PLC control system. This thesis, according to the current common method of communication, application of computer language VB programming, achieved multi-platform network communication between the PLC, to the purpose of information data transmission. In this thesis, the use of MCGS configuration software completed the realization of coal dust control system for real-time electronic monitoring, with a secure login, real-time data acquisition, site monitoring, historical data storage and other functions, and achieved the purpose of monitoring for electrostatic precipitator.
