Human demand for energy increasing,as the rapid development of economics.People begin to recover oil&gas on offshore after onshore mining have nolonger satisfy our economic development requirement.Various platforms are the main equipment for mining.Platforms are working in a mal-condition,multi-equipment and person concentrated in the limited space.In the event of dangerous incidents,it is extremely difficult to rescue and escape.So it makes high requirements on the automation of offshore palatform.Increased automation has reduced human errors to some extent,but bring in the risk of equipment failure. More and more people are paying attention to how to maintain equipment's reliability,and then given the concept of functional safety and developed the corresponding functional safety standards.Take a safety instrumented system applications in the offshore platform ,together with Fundamental Research on Risk Control Techniques Application for Deepwater Oil and Gas exploitation in South China Sea for example, establish the whole lifecycle and requirements and evaluated the safety integrity level of certain SIS initially.Beginning with analysis and research the application of functional safety at home and abroad, summarize the successful application of the achievements and experience in and abroad.Through collecting, collating, and analyzing safety-related documentation and according to the special nature of offshore platforms and IEC standards to establish the lifecycle framework of SIS on soffshore platforms.Given the minimum SIL requirements of multiple safety function and the lifecycle activities and requirements throughout whole lifecycle.With the existing reliability analysis methods and techniques,performing risk analysis and layer of protection analysis on subsea wellhead pipeline overpressure.After the distribution of risk, identified the main layer of protection and safety instrumented systems and their required SIL.Based on prior use and SIL requirements to determine the structure of subsea wellhead HIPPS, and assessing the SIL of the structure, then given the improve and optimize program of the structure based on the assessment result.Finally, in view of the importance of BOP safety instrumented systems of offshore drilling,analyzing it's safety function and the SIS structure and using risk graph method to choose the SIL for this SIS. We need specialized analysts assess it's risk and perform SIL evaluation, because of complicated structure and wide range of final element.
