| With the rapid development of modern industry, higher strength,higher precision and higher hardness thread connection parts have been widely used in aerospaceã€locomotiveã€nuclear power ã€military ã€wind power and diesel industries. At the same time, they have a larger demand in recent years. The traditional processing of thread has been difficult to meet the requirements of those mechanical equipment. Cutting and rolling are the common way of processing high strength thread. Compared to the rolling, cutting has a low machining efficiency and the grain fiber was cutting off while cold rolling has a good continuously grain fiber surface and improves the surface hardness. So we choose the method of cold rolling to machining thread.The research of cold rolling technology and equipment has an important practical significance and application value to achieve precision cold rolling technology localization.The theory of cold rolling processing is plastic deformation, so we need to know the basic theory of rolling processing. We have a deep research on the process parameters of thread cold rolling(rolling force〠rolling speed ã€rolling feed rate)ã€billet of the thread(formula of the billetã€chamfer of the billetã€materials of the rolling billet)based on the theory. At the same time, the thread rolling die design was introduced in detail.According to the principle of cold roll forming and to assure the request of high precision and high efficiency in the process of cold rolling,a design project of cold roll forming machine is put forward in this paper, we designed the key components of mechanical structure of rolling system,including the frame structure of the machine, the design and validation of synchronized feed mechanism, fixture design and the spindle system. The static and dynamic characteristics of the spindle have been analyzed by the software ANSYS-Workbench in the way of finite elements as well as modal analysis and fatigue analysis so that we can verify the spindle design is reasonable or not.The numerical simulations on the rolling process of spline were carried out by DEFORM software.The force filed,stress field,strain field,velocity field in the work piece were got and the distribution and evolution law of stress, strain of spline cold rolling were revealed. Reasonable utilization of the simulation results can accurately grasp factors that reducing die lives, which can help to reduce the unreasonable die structure design, provide important reference significance for the determination of process parameters. |
