Study On Inherent Safety And Environment Friendly Index Evaluation For Chemical Process

Chemical industry is one of the key industries of the national economy and it is the vital material basis for the social development. However, the chemical process characteristics of many flammable, explosive and deleterious substance and extremely-complex and large-scale production determine its potential hazard and high-polluting. Inherent safety principle in the chemical process is mainly directed against major hazard to eliminate or control hazard factors fundamentally, it is a precedence technique to prevent chemical accident and reduce risk.An effective inherent safety evaluation tool is the key of developing inherent safety principle. This paper have developed inherent safety and environment friendly index to evaluate the chemical process from two sides-safety and environment, according to the research of inherent safety and environment friendly principles. On the basis of a detailed analysis, the FTA method has been used to analyze the chemical process systemically, identifying the hazard factors that maybe lead to accident, and establishing the factor system. Then quantify the potential hazard indices of chemicals, operational condition, environment and relative safety remedy measures according to the criterion at home and abroad. Work out inherent safety and environ out inherent safety and environment friendly index, which not only reflect the grade of inherent safety, but also the level of environment friendly, and can estimate the risk of potential hazard factors directly, thereby to improve the process in preliminary design stage for enhancing the level of inherent safety and environment friendly of the overall process.At last, on the basis of above methods, taking a practical evaluation for the six MMA processes, analyzing inherent safety and environment friendly level of each process and comparing the result with other evaluation results, the result is validity.
