With the fast development of china's electrolytic aluminium production, the need of cathode carbon is sharply increasing. The cathode carbon product line of GuiZhou branch company, introduced from Japan since 1980s, has not meet the requirement of present aluminium production situation.The technology of old system has been out of date. The outmoded display instrument and mimic board integrated in the old system cannot offer the complete and accurate process &equipment data for operators who have no clear idea about the production process and site equipments due to poor and incomplete information from old control system, and furthermore cannot promptly solve the problems of process and facilities.Intermediate grinding, sieving and pulverizing,crucial processes of the cathode carbon production,affect directly the output and quality of the cathode carbon.After careful analysis of old system and study of new technology from substantial literatures, a state of art control system of Intermediate grinding, sieving and pulverizing is developed. New system characterize friendly interface, complete process data, high reliability&stability and Maintenance friendly.The paper present Allen Bradley SLC5/05 with PLC as well as Intellution's IFIX configure software as monitor system of PCs. Links between PLCs and PCs form control and monitoring system via Ethernet.
