Ship Lines Design Of Navy Sail Training Ship And The Research On The Sailing Performance

Navy training ship is an important component of modern navy and also a necessary tool to enhance the Navy's combat effectiveness. The sailing training ship can make students acquire an intimate knowledge of the Ocean, a solid grasp of navigation skills, strengthen cooperation between them and cultivate the virtues of solidarity. The training effects can not be achieved by generic training ships.Sailing training ships are propelled by the wind, but also receive tremendous impact of the air, so that the hydrodynamic characteristics of the hull are more complex than the conventional single ship. On the base of studying relevant information of sailing ship, the author analyses the characters of strained cognition of the sailing ships, and present the calculation method of resistance during sailing. The sailing ship's center of wind pressure is high; the area affected by the wind is large and easy to capsize when navigating. So the author make a comparative analysis of several stability criterions applied to this size of ship, and give suitable stability criteria for the sail training ship.On this basis, the author designs five different sail ships and analyses the sailing performance of these ships. Then the author make a comprehensive review of the sailing performance effected by the L/B, B/T, Cp and the UV degree of sections, optimize a good sailing performance hull. Finally, combined with the aerodynamic characteristics of rigs, the author predicting the sailing speed of the ship.
