Research On Engineering Quality Management Of Rongwu High-way

Quality is one of the most important indicators in road construction. Due to the hierarchical and sequential working method, if any quality problem occurs in the previous procedure, neither can it be easily detected nor improved, yet such a hidden risk is fatal to the quality of the whole road, so for ultima quality, it is extremely important to enhance the process control in road construction project. Highway construction, in particular, with long road coverage and continuity, cost easily billions, even tens of billions yuan RMB, so any quality failure means not only huge financial loss, but also immeasurable social effect, therefore, to ensure best quality, it is essential to enhance quality management in highway construction project.This paper involves research work on the road surface construction project of the eighth section on Rongwu highway. Based on theories and methods of overall quality management, and by setting up guarantee measures after quality masterminding of the project, control over the working process is greatly strengthened, which ensures successfully its quality under stable management.This paper falls mainly into five parts:the background, contents and methods used in research; a general survey of the project; quality masterminding; quality guarantee and quality control. Survey of the project is mostly about the amount of projects concerned, related environmental conditions in geology and hydrology, together with principles in project design and major technological demands; quality masterminding deals with the basics followed, project targets and planning; while in quality guarantee, elements affecting quality and the main points in management are analyzed, so as to establish measures guaranteeing quality in organization, technology and working procedures; quality control covers the general concepts and methods of direct control, highlights and implements the quality control before, during and after construction, and puts forward suggestions about the construction management system. with its quality up to 100% eligibility and excellence rate in construction, this paper can be served as a good guideline in Rongwu highway construction project,Applying theories to practice, this paper utilizes advanced theories in project quality management in highway construction, and effectively improves its effect. This paper can not only serve as a guideline in project management, esp. the implementation of quality control, in the road surface construction of the eighth section on Rongwu highway, but also provide experiences and examples for other highway construction project, besides, it is as well a good reference for people working in the same area.
