With the increasing level of ship automation, the ship power system request higher reliability and stability. The ship power system simulation plays a more important role in power system planning, design, operation, analysis and control. The simulation applications in the ship power system require large amounts of data, even some very complex data structure, the traditional relational database has been difficult to meet. In this paper, the object-relation database of the ship power system simulation is researched and developed with the ship power system as the research object and in cooperation with object-oriented programming ideas.In this paper, through the database system analysis of the ship power system simulation, with the idea of OO-layer method and Unified law to achieve the integration between object-oriented database and relational database, the design of the object-relation database is achieved.In this paper, based on the object model to relational model mapping rules and through redundant control and adjustment, the mapping of object model to relational model is realized. The design of the base class database and simulation database architecture of ship power system is achieved. The ship power system simulation database system put forward in this paper is easy for maintenance and expansion and can easily provide a unified data support for the ship power system simulation applications .In this paper, a database system management interface of the ship power system simulation is developed with VC++6.0 to facilitate the administrators to manage and maintain the database, while users can manage the simulation application pragrams more easily through the management interface. Finally the database of the ship power system simulation is validated by the calculation of short-circuit fault current. From the simulation results, we can conclude that the database of the ship power system simulation is basically meet the design requirements.
