Substation automation technology after ten years of development has reached a certainlevel, upgrading and construction of the substation automation technology in a large numberof, growing intelligence among devices, thus greatly improving the level of modernization ofpower grid construction. However, with the growing number of intelligent electronic devices,computer high-speed network in the development and application of real-time systems, theoriginal station 103 most used protocols in the country there are nearly 200 versions, or evenhave multiple versions of a factory. Among different manufacturers must use protocolconverter to communicate with each other. The IED equipment, information sharing andinteroperability is no longer meet the operation and maintenance requirements. The IEC61850standard uses object-oriented modeling approach, this dynamic approach on the one hand tomeet the individual needs of a variety of IED, on the other hand effectively address theseissues substation. Coupled with intelligent primary equipment in recent years, it contributes tothe completion of digital substations.IEC61850 standard thesis in Huizhou Power Grid Study carried out in the followingaspects: Huizhou power substation integrated with the first fully automated, put forward usingthe IEC61850 standard for substation construction requirements; Second, the standard modelof IEC61850, the definition of communication, language configuration in-depth study; Finally,to use the 110kV PINGAN Substation IEC61850 technology as an engineering examples indetail.Through the application of IEC61850 standard,Huizhou substation automation improvesthe level of intelligent technology; reduce the repeated investment, saving the cost of theproject; Be sure to use the standard IEC61850 substation design and construction of theHuizhou power requirements of the standard; Through the intelligent use of terminalequipment to solve a conventional device used in the digital substation, for the HuizhouPower Substation future digital transformation of the traditional clear direction.
