Patent is the protection to intellectual property rights of products. During product development time, innovative designers must provide a reference for the new products to avoid patent infringement, based on data from a large number of patent literatures. So how to make an effective product innovation and avoid patent infringement have become a problem urgently need to be solved. Existing studies on mining patents focus on data mining algorithms for improving the efficiency, but rarely conduct a study of patent from the point of effective and innovative. In this thesis, the author put forward a method based on the combining use of the QFD, TRIZ, and PKM to provide a new perspective to product innovation.The main contents of thesis are as follows:This thesis extents the quality requirements in QFD to the performance requirements, proposed a performance-based QFD model. By doing this, QFD could be adopted in product design, manufacturing, management, maintenance, marketing and so on. This thesis combinates the green engineering and the demand-oriented performance model. This method was applied to the design of Children Resistant safety mechanism in order to obtain the most impactive sub-function.In this paper, a TRIZ model was established based on professional contradiction matrix which is streamlined. In this model, contradiction matrixs which are not commonly used are removed, while the contradiction matrix which are commonly used are established. This makes the model aim at a certain problem. In particular, the new matrix can further enhance the effectiveness of the innovation in mechanical design. This model was applied to the design of Children Resistant safety mechanism in order to obtain the corresponding neighborhood solutions.Based on the foregoing analysis, the thesis proposed a patent mining model that based in QFD/TRIZ. Combined mining was carried out to the Sub-Function of the production and Neighborhood Solution to the realization of Sub-Function in order to obtain a corresponding patent eigenvictor. Patent characteristic matrix was established. Combining the characteristic with TRIZ, we can get the other special solutions which can ensure the unique of patent.Take the innovative design of safety device of the CR lighter as an example, corresponding innovative solution was obtained. Furthermore, patents were applied to obtain the corresponding law protection.
