With the rapid development of China's automobile industry, especially the past two or three years into the era of private cars, automotive electronics industry has become a new growth point. The high profit of automobile electronic products and it's broad market have been of much attention by business, sound and security device prove this. In the near two years, Parking sensor has become a new love in electronic business. many manufacturers producing alarming involve the industry.Parking sensor is called "reversing anti-collision radar," also known as "parking aids". It is a safe car parking assisting device, capable of voice or a more intuitive display of obstacles around the situation telling the driver to lift the driver both parking and start the car, and to help the driver to remove the dead, and blurred vision defects.The traditional parking sensor uses the MCU, digital display and sound and light alarm with the low accuracy and poor man-machine interface. this paper presents the software and hardware platform using ARM920T ARM9 processor and the Linux operating system, USB video data acquisition, color LCD display,ultrasonic transmitting and receiving, voice alarm and other multi-module design. The designed system functions in the complex parking situation, ranging, video capture, voice alarm and others. The new parking sensor progresses in the test accuracy, observability, stability. the driver can observe the all situations just sitting in car cab and know what's going on, which greatly improved the parking and reversing the safety and efficiency.practical applications, hardware and software debugging are put in to practice after the technology is realized. And the implementations of technology and key technology are tested and progressed furtherly. validation and improvement. The practical results shows that the designed system can perform reliably, display clearly, react timely. The system is very reasonable technically and greatly anticipated from the market prospect.
