Research Of Web-Based CAD System For Electric Power Line

With the Internet evolves, the enterprises get significant changes in their works. The development of MIS system for local area network by the range of C/S mode gradually turns to the Internet for wide area network or even the B/S mode. With the completion of rural grids' transformation, the construction which follow the standard operating procedures are strictly implemented in every electric supply enterprises, people have to draw the power lines and archive in files, this kind of work is usually finished by AUTOCAD or hand-drawn in previous time, it is not precise enough and it spend a lot of time. To improve the situation, the Web-based CAD system for drawing power lines is established, combining with an existing C/S mode CAD subsystem power lines.In this article, several methods which can solve this problem have been summed up after a deep research in dynamic web application programming.Firstly, the use of component technology; secondly, the use of ASP.NET; thirdly the use of Java Applet.Finally, after comparing, Java Applet is chosen to achieve web graphics'function. The following functions are designed and implemented by using the Interactive graphics technology in Java language:Hand-drawn circuit diagram, including simple draw, erase, redraw, save etc. Considering the security issues in Applet program, a digital signature is employed to ensure the program which is downloaded by client is only comes from a reliable server. On the basis of the CAD Diagrams of line drawing, that is, the user input parameters, the system automatically figure out the function of a investigated.This software is a sub-module of the Web-based workflow system, and there are the characteristics in maintenance-free with the client, expand, and long-distance applications.
