In the power system, the function of supervisory and control system is to gain real-time data, with the aim of mastering the running status of power system in order to take measures promptly before accidents happen. However, the differences between platforms and languages make the real-time data can hardly be shared by MIS, maintenance and other departments. The features of Web Services, such as language-independence, cross-platform, good encapsulation and using standard protocol specifications (XML, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI) make it possible to solve the problem of real-time data can not be shared. A scheme of real-time supervisory and control system of power system based on Web services is presented in the paper, and the processes of system implementation are also described. The paper involves the following contents: the origination of real-time data, data transmission, and the encapsulation of Web Services. The mode of JSP is used to invocate the Web Servicers to gain the real-time data. The combination of JSP, Servlet, JavaBeans and Applet realizes the real-time graphic display of data.
