Research On The Characteristics Of Mechanical And Electrical Products' Industrial Design

Mechanical and electrical products are important signs of a country's manufacturing standard. With the rapid developments of science and technology and homogenization of mechanical and electrical products' technology and performance, the industrial design's ability has become the most effective method to increase products' added-value and competitive strength. However, the capability of mechanical and electrical products' industrial design in China is much weaker than that in foreign countries, as well as the related researches.In view of these situations, the thesis has deeply researched and quested the characteristics of mechanical and electrical products' industrial design based on the related design theories and methods. Meanwhile, the thesis has systematically concluded the industrial design's aims, methods and process founded on analyzing the characteristics of their functions, form and users, which to a certain extent has presented the characteristics of present mechanical and electrical products' industrial design.Mechanical and electrical products are the tools to produce and create wealth, which emphasis the functions'practicability and manufacture's high efficiency, and have strong technology characteristic as well. However, to reach the standard of commodities, the products must satisfy such a lot of requirements from human factors, usability, aesthetics, safety, preservation, economy and so on. Therefore, mechanical and electrical products' industrial design is a complicated design activity combining many subjects, such as man-machine engineering, aesthetics and design management. Meanwhile, it is achieved in the process of synthetically use of multi-subjects' knowledge. The thesis has also fully described and analyzed the tasks of mechanical and electrical products' industrial design, which can be concluded as: appearance design, interaction design and providing reasonable design program for solving the contradiction between the stable mass production and products'diversification.The thesis has been especially focused on the mechanical and electrical products' complicated interactions between human and machine, and mainly analyzed the human-machine interface's characteristics, usability's properties, emotional experience's aims and the relevant solutions of mechanical and electrical productsFurthermore, the thesis has analyzed the process characteristics of mechanical and electrical products' industrial design, and emphasized that mechanical and electrical products' industrial design must adequately use interview, scene description, KFS, keywords analysis and other methods in premises of considering more technology restrictions, so as to positively create the condition of user-participation, and truly achieve the human-centered design aim.At last, the thesis has introduced the specific contents and process of mechanical and electrical products' industrial design through the M7 milling machine industrial design for Shanghai Pacific Crosrol co..
