By improving user requirements and the emotional demands, product development is tending to the "user-centric" principle. It needs a higher request to the usability of the product.Choosing the personal consumer electronics products (PCE) as the breakthrough point, this study explores a more targeted and effective method of usability evaluation to commit to the participation of the end users and perception of product availability.This study summarizes the related researches of PCE usability and quantitative assessment of PCE product attributes. Study also puts forward the importance of the usability which user’s subjective emotional cognitive impacts on.Select Tablet PC as the representative object of the study, establish a usability evaluation model for usability testing that based on the Tablet PC usability instance trial including user’s emotion.First, Conduct secondary data collation, expert interviews, and empirical assessment, which depending on the existing standards and scholars of literature research. Screening draw a preliminary evaluation of the model contained17usability dimensions and product attributes. Then, Investigate a large sample survey collected118valid questionnaires. Analysis the statistics that contained user perceived usability factors. Adjust the model based on three usability classification under19usability factors. According to the perceived usability model of Tablet PC, invite6target skilled user of the participants to take the usability testing of two mainstream popular Tablet PC samples.The results show that the method and test are effective to find the usability problems of sample products, and in accordance with their level of sort and evaluation.This study discusses the achievements and limitations of existing research, and conducts a preliminary exploration based on the PCE usability including the user emotion. The Preliminary usability testing and results have a practical significance for product development and improvement which can be widely used in various stages of the product life cycle.
