Chinese architecture education is in the procession of discovery and development. Applying working model in architecture teaching is becoming general, and also working model is becoming widely useful in different students'study field. Based on writer's personal anticipation in the practice of design and teaching, the thesis will study the usage of working model in teaching.In practical work, the thesis firstly determines working model's role definition in teaching and describes the utility of applying working model in teaching. Through the inspection and analysis of current situation, working model gains high emphasis and wide used in national architecture teaching, ensuring that working model will be one of the most important part of architecture teaching.Secondly, the thesis taking the writer's personal practice work in working model study for instance describes the tools,methods,process and so on in making model. Additionally, the thesis elaborates the working model's great utility in real building design work. This constructs the solid theory foundation for working model's anticipating in teaching.In the end, according to practical example in teaching, the thesis describes the positive usage of working model in teaching and students'study both from the analysis of motion aspect and stationary aspect. Motion analysis based on students'study, using true examples to explain the students'way of completing design by working model, including every working model in each working step and the final accomplished design paper. Stationary analysis explains the utility in different study. This part includes 3 study subjects:"analysis of masterpieces", "space organization", "structure and construction", and combines with teaching practice.The ending words simply predicts the development direction of the working model's utility in architecture teaching, points out writer's several ideas, and concludes the whole study work in the thesis.
