As electricity power can be converted and stored as cold capacity by refrigerating machine, so it can be also stored as heat quantity by energy storage electric boiler. Energy storage electric boilers, which heat up storage media such as water, oil and solid materials with electricity, are widely applied to supplies of heating, hot water and steam for daily life and production. Energy storage electric boilers are widely installed in facilities need heating supply, such as block, theatre, factory, hospital, laundry, swimming pool and housing estate, etc.Countries all over the world have been dedicated to promote electricity power as it is efficient and environment-friendly. But it is not flawless: it cannot be stored but shall be generated, supplied and consumed at once. That's the reason why there is an universally huge peak valley ratio in power grids. In Northeast China, where thermal power is the key method of power generation, power grids have hardly ability to adjust peak valley ratio. For example, the ratio of North China Grid Co, Ltd. reaches nearly 40 percent. The generators nationwide, which only run hundreds of hours every year during load peak, reach dozens gigawatts in installed capacity and bring about idle and waste of power generation source. And many units will be shut down during grid load valley.With a new automatic technology that can reduce or shift load peak to valley, the energy storage electric boiler under the internet of things can favour efficient energy exploitation, investment cut of power plant and thrifty operation of power grid. Therefore, it is significant for resource conservation, energy efficiency and emisssions reduction.This paper elaborates technological strength of energy storage electric boiler under the techniques of the internet of things by studies on its technology and projects, encouraging safe, frugal, clean, efficient and handy energy storage electric boiler to be applied in housing estates, factories, companies and to supply to thousands upon thousands of families. The paper also places great hopes on the environment-friendly energy management in energy efficiency, power grid pressure relief and atmosphere improvement.
