Traffic safety is always one of the most important study areas for traffic scholars both in home and abroad. Traffic safety is severe in China, especially at intersection. Statistic data shows that 30% of traffic accidents happened at intersection every year. Bicycle is one kind of main traffic tool of green commuting slow traffic system since bicycle is a kind of green, environmental protection and low carbon. However, the severe traffic safety problems at intersection important factors which reduce the proportion of choose bicycles and worse slow traffic system environment. In fact, traffic safety problem largely is traffic conflict problem. So in generally, the TCA simulation model of vehicle-bicycle traffic conflict at intersection based on the action of averting danger which can provide a new simulation platform for research bicycle safety at intersection owns high theory and application significance.This paper through traffic conflict technique studied the traffic conflict of right-turning vehicle and straight through bicycle, and surveyed the moving characteristics of vehicles and bicycles at three intersections of Beijing through the way of video and questionnaire. According to the survey outcomes, the author found that deceleration is the most frequently used action of averting danger both motors and bicycles, and especially bicycles also frequently by the way of deceleration & turning to avert danger. The attention of drivers and the haphazard of cyclist are the main reasons of traffic confliction at intersection. The relation between traffic flow and traffic conflict is nonlinearity.In this paper, the author set up a traffic conflict TCA model of right-turning motor vehicles and straight-through bicycles at intersection in order to research the traffic conflicts at intersection. In the aspect of cells unit, the model introduced a concept of virtual cells to help motor right-turning in the intersection, and also use the way of differentiation to divide cells unit. In the aspect of evolve rules, the model introduced some stochastic rules to help improve the reality of the model, which include stochastic slow down rule, motor turning-light rule, driver attention rule and bicycle change road rule. Focusing on the model, this paper realized it in computer by the software of MATLAB. The simulation results show that the traffic conflict numbers of right turning vehicle and straight through bicycle are relate to the number of vehicle and bicycle, and the conflict numbers are normal distribution. In the intersection traffic conflict, the vehicles'main action of averting danger is decelerate, the bicycles'main actions are decelerate and change direction. All of those show that the TCA model and simulation platform of intersection vehicle-bicycle conflict can preferably simulate the bicycles moving characteristics.
