Steel-bonding is the most popular way to reinforce RC structures. The method of R.C. beam is strengthened with steel plate anchored by rivets has been widely studied and researched. But the researchers have been concentrated on the stress-strain relationship, flexural,shear behavior and fatigue properties research of one method to reinforcement. In fact each method has its own advantages and disadvantages.R.C. beam is strengthened with externally bonded steel plate anchored by rivets or screw is introduced. Inclined section bearing and shearing capacity of 15 RC beams are introduced which been combinatively reinforeed with externally bonded steel plate anchored by rivets or screw. The type of rivets and adhesive plastic are analyzed to the strengthen effect, The writer get the the bearing and shearing behavior and effect factors of R.C. beam is strengthened with externally bonded steel plate anchored by rivets or screw through 15 RC beams.A design formula is given about this strengthened method in this paper on flexural and shear strength. The experimental text that this strengthened method has a good reinforcement effect, and effectively avoid the Phenomenon of premature removing of the steel plates in the strengthen beams and brittle failure.This paper includes five parts. First, a brief introduction of strengthening methods have been introduced, the status in reinforcement with bonding and anchored steel plate and the main content are stated. Second, the specimens, corresponding experimental devices and the results are introduced. The Carrying Capacity and deflection have been obtained. Then mapped the curve of the experimental beams.Thirdly, The fundamental theory of R.C. beam is strengthened with externally bonded steel plate anchored by rivets or screw is introduced;Four,the writer analysised R.C. beam which is strengthened with externally bonded steel plate anchored by rivets or screw the bearing and shear behavior,then get the calculation model.Based on the computation model, a reasonable bear and shear capacity design formula for the applying to practical calculation is commended; In the last part,the writer draws some useful conclusions from the whole research and look forward to the future work in the last.Based on the results of this experiment, some conclusions can be obtained:The flexural capacity of strengthened beams can be remarkable improved,the plate and concrete bonded firmly; The load methods,shear span ratio and the rigidity of R.C beams have much more impact on the shear strength. Last not the least, the referencing formulas to calculate the flexure and shear strength of R.C. beam strengthened with externally bonded steel plate anchored by rivets or screw, and the calculating results cohere to the experimental result well.
