Study On Renewal In The Residential Area Of Handan

Combined with Hebei province's activity"New towns in three years", on the theory and practice basis of domestic and foreign residential areas and the analysis of Handan city residential areas developing history from the year of 1949, the paper delivers a new renewal model and principle for Handan city's residential areas from three aspects of material factors, non-material factors and community characteristics.The paper consists of five chapters. Chapter one is introduction which explains definition about the thesis background, purpose and significance of research and city promotion. Chapter two combines and analyzes the theory and practice development of domestic and foreign cities and states the compared analysis on three distances aspects of social economy, urbanization and social participation and coordination, besides reflects the analysis and review of foreign and domestic residential areas'development. Chapter three explains Handan'residential areas developing history in order that analyzes the material space and non-material space environment and analyzes the present situation of Handan city's residential areas by the fundamental survey and data collection according to development scale, material space and social space of residential areas.Chapter four draws a conclusion of Handan present urban residential areas confronting task and characteristics by combing practical research and analyzing material space factor, non-material space factor and residential community characteristic factor, which including 7 secondary target and 23 third targets. With necessary statistical analysis, the paper induces the present situation into three catalogues according to the different developing period and analyzes three specific urban residential areas as samples. Chapter five approaches Handan city perspective principle and applied new model by summary and analysis of present residential development and history and urban renewal situation and the mirror of history.
