The substation has much equipment, complicated electrical layout. If not properly managed or negligence, faults will be happened easily. The fault operation with the power equipments is the man-made accidents happened frequently in the power system. In order to prevent the man-made accidents and major equipment accidents, early in 1990, the power system developed the requirements of the electrical equipment five-proof. But the traditional error lockout prevention, such as mechanical locking, electric lock, etc, can't meet the development requirements of the substation. This paper describes in detail of the traditional anti-lock error, that is, mechanical lock, mechanical program lock, latch and electromagnetic locking electrical circuit applications situations and common problems, compare their respective advantages and disadvantages of the microcomputer five-proof system. According to the actual situation and application case studies, microcomputer five-proof system exist some problem. The devices which can't operate with the background equipment, closed through the lock loop and the operating handle its operation, can't confirm the location of the equipment and feedback, likely to cause the so-called "walk-way space "and other issues, Through principle analysis and test, the papers finally put forward a microcomputer five-proof system. The system mainly consists of computer, computer keys, lock electrical code, mechanical code lock function components. By the logic of the computer program to control the entire process, it can reduce the occurrence of possible accidents. It has become the main direction development of the anti-locking device error.
