Nowadays, with development of economy, we need more and more elevators in our cities. But faults incidence rate of elevator is soaring with the growing elevator quantities. Once faulty or malfunction happen in elevators economic loss will be made, even catastrophic casualty will be caused. At this moment, the effectiveness of elevator fault diagnosis seems so important. While the common fault diagnosis methods are based on the sense and experience, we can't assure the fault be solved fast and accurate. According to this situation, a system related elevator fault diagnosis is researched in order to detect and solve the elevator fault diagnosis when faults happen.According to the analysis of faults may happen in elevator control system, an architecture of elevator fault diagnosis system is put forward and designed, which based on fault diagnosis theories and technologies. In this paper, elevator fault diagnosis is divided into PC end and embedded controller end. Some fault test examples is generated as code by PC end,which complied and downloaded into the elevator's controller to accomplish the fault diagnose task. At last, the diagnosis results are returned to the interface of PC end for users and technicians. A fault diagnosis system based on least square support vector machine is introduced. Inference mechanism in embedded controller and diagnosis method which suited to elevator fault diagnosis are discussed. In the end, this diagnosis system architecture is validated effectively and accurately through testing in the simulation.
