Hydraulic Excavator is key construction equipment in many areas:transportation, energy exploitation and town construction. This equipment can reflect the mechanization level of these areas. Therefore, it is meaningful to emphasize and accelerate its improvement and innovation and advance product quality to satisfy the users for speeding up modernization construction.This technology has played the important role in the whole process of the excavator design and manufacture. In this way, the design time and cost can be reduced. In the followed stage, the stimulation experiment can be done to instead of the real production experiment. Excavator is different from other equipment in many ways. The introduction of this technology can help to stimulate diverse working condition and analyzing many design plans in the fast way. In the whole process, the parameters can be modified according to the optimized advice and customer's requirements.The ADAMS is a kind of software based on the technology, which is the most famous mechanical system stimulated analyzing software designed by the Mechanical Dynamics Inc. in the USA. Using this software the parameter model can be created. At last, the simulation test, which is like the real condition, can be done and the result is the same with the fact.Backhoe Equipment of Hydraulic Excavator is one important device to perform many functions. The working performance and reliability of the whole machine is influenced by the rationality of its structure.This paper has analyzed the Backhoe Equipment of the Hydraulic Excavator, and then to further study the equipment. The main research and related conclusion are as followed.Firstly,based on the kinematics analysis for excavator backhoe attachment and the dynamics analysis for the digging force on the teeth of bucket.Secondly, the method to build the virtual excavator prototype is given in this paper. The VP is composed of simulation models of subsystems. The virtual prototyping processes are based on the cooperation of experts from different disciplines and then the final integration of modules from these concurrent tasks.Thirdly,to build multidisciplinary models, the composition of excavator is analyzed according to the theories of modeling and simulation. Through simulation the mechanism system, we get the work scope of excavator and some special data. Analyzing the excavator while digging, we get the force of deferent joints, which is the base for strength analysis of parts. The mechanical system of excavator is build in PROE, and the hydraulic system in ADAMS/Hydraulics, realizes interfacing experiment data of hydraulic system and mechanism system in the same interface and accomplishes the simulating design of virtual prototyping entire system of excavator.
