Water source has great importance for the development of society and the improvement of people's living standard. With the development of modern industry automatic control technology and communication technology, automatic control system of waterworks has supplied a powerful security for the water supply process. The water-getting system, whose main function is getting water source from the natural source or artificial source to supply for the waterworks or the people's direct usage, is the first stage of the whole water supply system and is the important part of the waterworks. Because pumps' electricity consumption took up a big part of the water-getting cost during the process, the water-getting system's working reasonably, effectively and economically is very important for the waterworks water-supplying quality and good operation.There were some unreasonable control ways in the water-getting stage of water-supplying automatic control system for the present. First, the automation degree of the system operation was supposed to improve, because with the mutative level of the underground water and the mutative output volume of the pumps it needed the human intervening pumps schedule under the condition that using some pump was determined by the variation range of the water source pool. Second, how to collect and work out the pumps water drawing efficiency so that take reasonable pumps using tactics was a problem that designer should consider, because in a certain period some pumps had high water drawing efficiency and other low for the variable proportion of instantaneous water yield and electricity consumption of each pump. Last, it should take different pumps using tactics in different electricity period to reduce the electricity cost of getting water.The design took expert system control method to schedule pumps intelligently. Expert system, an important application branch of the artificial intelligence and mainly used in the process control which can hardly establish the mathematics model, controlled object not based on the accurate mathematics models of the controlled object compared to the tradition control method but from the expert experiences of the profession and the controlled object features, and it had some features such as multi-formity of the expressing model, real time online handling and flexibility of control. In this system each pump's operation efficiency was worked out and sorted by the pump's instantaneous flow and electricity consumption, and optimization direction determined by the right time was taken to reduce the electricity cost and quantity, and the pump efficiency variable dead zone was set to prevent pumps frequently switching and ensure the water-getting system worked smoothly.Because each well and duty room distributes long distance from each other and has a long way from central control room of the second waterworks and the geographical environment is bad, wireless RS-485 communication network was established by digital radio station using the RTU collected real time information and controlled the pumps'operation. By the host KingView integrated design & develop environment, this design implemented the second waterworks central control source monitoring picture, realizing pumps instantaneous output volume, electricity consumption, level and output volume of reservoir real time information collection and valve and pumps remote wireless control and transferring Visual Basic program to process the real time source data by using the KingView's open outside program interface DDE communication function and set up the variables historical changes carve function to examine the well group's parameters change features and provide the expert knowledge base reference and basis.This water-getting system has run for one year in Shanyin waterworks, improving the automatic control level, reducing the electricity consumption and operation cost contrasting to the previous way, and providing indemnity for the county water supply.
