| The development form of traditional urban space is naturally spread in plane, and its most important feature is the planarity in space. Since the build of high-rise building in the city center in the 19th century, the urban space has developed gradually from planarity to three-dimensional form. The center of the city, as the growth pole of the city itself, is urbanized intensively. As a result, the land price and the house rent are raised greatly. In the narrow district, the increasing density of the building and the growing number of high-rise buildings result in large volume core with a higher density which powerfully changes the general plain sight of the city into the three-dimensional space. In the three dimensional process, the volume fraction and density of the city increased rapidly, the underground space of high-rise building at the city center is connected by the space under buildings which forms a large area of synthetic underground space and has potential advantage in extending city volume. The scheme for efficiently combining underground space at the city center is a main topic in the process of designing modern city. The underground space at city center could link not only the traffic facilities on the ground but also the underground traffic hub which forms a huge multi-functions center and becomes a new architectural form.As the constant expansion of the high-rise buildings in the downtown, the reasonable and effective exploitation of the underground space of the high-rise buildings in the downtown can make their underground space bears some city functions. The underground space is taken as a hub which contacts the internal structure of high-rise buildings and all sorts of urban spaces to achieve the purpose of improving high-density center environment. The thesis proceeds with the progress of the development and utilization of underground space in the high-rise buildings of downtown and the type of underground space in the high-rise buildings. According to the present development situation and utilization of underground space in the specific environment, the thesis first analyses the characteristics and utilization methods of underground space in downtown and then discusses the utilization principle of the underground space of high-rise buildings and its relationship with the method of optimum combination in urban underground space and summarizes the factors that influence the design and development of underground space. Through analyzing the cases both at home and abroad, it uncovers the existing problems in the exploring process of underground space of high-rise buildings and puts forward the way of solution. Finally, the prospect for the development trend and the use principle of underground space are discussed. |
