The wheel sideslip distance makes a directly effect on the automobile economical efficiency and using performance and easily brings about traffic accidents. Therefore, the detection of wheel sideslip distance and wheel alignment parameters has been an important detecting index in modern vehicle performance testing, which puts forward higher requirement for detecting speed and accuracy. In order to meet the mentioned requirements, this paper made some researches on the relationship between the wheel alignment parameters, tire pressure, load and other factors and the wheel sideslip distance, through which can meet the need of rapidly detective rhythm and the measurement precision. Basing on this point, this paper researched on the testing device and simulation analysis of the correlation model of adjustable wheel alignment angles and sideslip distance.Firstly, the paper summarized the causes of sideslip, and analyzed the related theory of the measurement of sideslip distance and then put forward the approach of sideslip distance testing of the adjustable angles wheel. And then this paper built a testing device for the correlation model of adjustable wheel alignment angles and sideslip distance based on SolidWorks. The most prominent feature of this device was that wheel camber angle and toe-in angle can be adjusted randomly, which got rid of the constraints of vehicle orientation angle difficult to adjust. Furthermore, basing on the ADAMS and ANSYS this paper established the "soft tire-test device" simulation model. The paper meshed the tire model by Finite Element Analysis Software ANSYS, which can make the tire is more close to realistic elastomer. So the accuracy of simulation data test was improved. By simulation it was easy to get the impact of the wheel alignment parameters (camber angle and toe-in angle), speed, wheel load etc. on the wheel slip and lateral force and analyzed the reasons causing impact. Finally, this paper did some the real vehicle experiment, made some comparisons and analysis between the real vehicle testing data and simulation data. Through the curve of date change verified that adjustable wheel alignment angles and amount of sideslip associated model testing device was feasible.Main feature of the testing device for the correlation model of adjustable wheel alignment angles and sideslip distance was that it could achieve any regulation of the wheel camber and toe-in angle and it could manipulate a single wheel, simulate different models wheel load. Therefore, it can test the relationship between the sideslip distance of various models and its factors.
