The building of hainan international tourism island is upgraded to national strategy,and Hainan province is vigorously developing inland travel and marine tourism project. WanQuan River is one of the symbols of Hainan island and an important part of tourism resources of Hainan province.It has rich natural landscape and humanistic landscape,the upper reaches of WanQuan River is placid,and the downstream estuary is conterminous with the South China Sea, the water sparkling in the estuary where located scenic resorts known home and abroad—Boao Watertown and Jade Belt Beach.with the growth of the number of domestic and foreign tourists, WanQuan River water tourism will usher in the unprecedented opportunities for development. At present,there are several problems with WanQuan River tourist ships such as out-of-order, low status and generally low class,so they are unable to coordinate their surrounding humanity and scenery environment, also cannot satisfy tourist holiday leisure and personalized requirements. Jade belt beach tourism project is one of the major tourist attractions on WanQuan River, the route is between inland river and outlet to the sea,the distance is shorter, and the existing average channel depth is 0.7 meters, planning depth is 1.0 meters.To meet personalized requirements of tourists and realize harmonious development between ship and nature,besides use function and navigational performance, modelling design can not be ignored in the design of small yacht on WanQuan River.How to generate a small yacht exterior modelling quickly according to the needs of users becomes the concerns of industry. The development of three-dimensional parametric design technology makes it possible, and it has practical significance to design a three-dimensional parametric design platform which aims at small yacht exterior modelling.It still lacks small yacht parametric design platform presently. Based on transport demand of WanQuan River, this paper discussed characteristic parameters which imfluence small yacht modelling constraint relations between them and the definition method of yacht hull surface and Superstructure surface,established WanQuan River small yacht modelling parametric design platform through secondary development of CATIA three-dimensional design platform by using VB programming, achieved the objectives that parameter-driven model with less variation and small yachts three-dimensional modelling quickly render,and an example was applied to verify the feasibility and practicality of the design platform developed at last.Modelling design should be in close contact with shipping performance,this paper finally analyzed the hydrostatic performance and resistance properties of modelling scheme through existing freeship and FLUENT software platform,and pointed out the development direction of performance calculation module.
