Research On The Form And Tectonic Of Contemporary Public Buildings Top Space

The building top is the main part of the asylum construction and the end volume of the building in the vertical extension visually. As "second floor", building top provide people with different level, and various forms of outdoor space, rich urban function and texture. In the space inside, as the "sky" of the artificial environment, building space offer daylighting and ventilation,comfort the environment and rich indoor space artistic conception. Building top is the first sight part when you are walking in the street. It is a important subject to advance the building expressionFrom the history of building, the production of building top form bases on its own time and regional and has close relationship with technology development and aesthetic, developing with inheritance relationship. Analyzing the history, we can found that building top own the "second floor" and "sky" characteristics from the beginning. Even we haven't started our design with them. In this paper, based on the two characters, we will show the real logic between the elements of building top, starting with volume, interface, structure and tectonic. Though the study on elements of form and Influence factors, explore the "cause" of the form generation, not only pay attention on final "result". Focus on the "stating point" and "process" research instead of "final form". Form "starting point", grasp each possibilities of form design to broaden the way of expressing building top form.
